Alright, we have been gone for quite a while, lots of stuff happened. A pandemic (I got SICK for like 3 weeks), my mom died, and my dad died. I was out of work for almost 7 months, that was "fun".
Costume College was virtual for two years! This summer was the first in-person Costume College. There was maybe half the number of folks this year as there was the last time we all got together and I was the volunteer coordinator, which was pretty stressful because we didn't have nearly enough people volunteer.
Big Sigh.
So now I am getting ready for Costume College 2023 and I want to bring you along on the journey.
We HAD a theme, but there was an ..... issue..... and now things are a bit up in the air. I'm NOT going to talk about that at this point, but I'm going to start getting ready for Costume College anyway.
Because I decided that no matter what the theme is, I'm going to be COMFORTABLE next year during the day at least. So I've got three costumes planned for during the day, and I'm going to be posting progress on them as I go.
Here are the three outfits.
Viking Era Norse woman's outfit (cause Viking is a job, not a culture 😁)
Celtic Romanesque lady's outfit (Maybe British, I haven't decided)
Outlander Druid dancer outfit from the first season of the STARZ series
First up, the Viking Era dress. I have most of the components purchased, I'll post sketches (which I guarantee won't be good) and the first step of the process later this week.
Welcome to my next adventure!
